Brock Built Wins National Community Service Award
By Intown HomesBrock Built was awarded May 20, 2009 the National Community Service Award in Washington, DC. Brock Built was honored for its’ exemplary building of the extreme “Going Green” house. Steve Brock and Bryan Ponder attended the award ceremonies.
Brock Built partnered with WSB-TV, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, The Atlanta Housing Authority, The City of Atlanta, neighborhood groups as well as the community in the construction a truly sustainable single family home for charity. The green house ultimately benefits children of all ages by providing funding from the sale of the home to Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) to serve critical pediatric medical care needs of children regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
Brock Built was honored to receive this National Community Service Award for the second year in a row and will continue the high level of community service as part of the local Atlanta WSB-TV “Going Green” campaign. “In addition to building an indpendently certified environmentally sustainable demonstration home, we believe in contributing to the larger community even in the most difficult of economic times as a model of what can be achieved with the support of Atlanta’s business community.” said Steve Brock, CEO of Brock Built, LLC.
